** Matthew Baum || EIGHTEEN **
Matthew Baum is a photographer and teacher living in Brooklyn, NY. He graduated from Brown University in 1996 with a degree in history and later studied architecture at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design. Matthew earned an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in Photography, Video and Related Media in May 2007. Upon graduation, he was awarded Chairman's Honors and the Paula Rhodes Memorial Award.
Matthew was a founder and co-director of the VisuaLife photo education program, working with underprivileged youth in New York City. His work has been exhibited nationally and seen in publications such as the New York Times Magazine and Photo District News. Recent exhibitions include "Photo Now" at the Center for Photography at Woodstock and "Visual Morphology" at the Klompching Gallery in Brooklyn, New York. He currently teaches at the School of Visual Arts and Hunter College.
