Christophe Kutner, born in Narbonne, France, moved
to Paris when he was four years old.
He first studied medicine due to parental persuasions, but his passion
for photography eventually led him to leave his medical studies.
He soon assisted legendary photographer Horst P. Horst, who was a true
mentor and inspiration in his pursuit to study the art and history of
photography.
In 1993, Christophe began his own photography career and quickly started collaborating with various international magazines. His images have been published in French, German, Spanish, Italian and US versions of Vogue, among many others.
His commercial clients include fashion labels such as Valentino, Versace, Givenchy, H&M, Banana Republic as well as brands like Mercedes Benz, Jeep Cherokee, Rolex, Courvoisier, Heineken, Motorola, and Nokia.
He has expanded his interest from photography to moving images, and since 2000 has directed a few short films.
Christophe is also developing a personal art project, "Defragmentation," an experimentation on Polaroid compositions.
He has been part of several group exhibition and books on fashion photography.
Christophe lives and works between Paris and New York.
