Born in Italy, Frantini took up photography at an early age in his hometown, Ravenna.
After graduating from Art School in 1995, he left for Paris to establish his career,
which lead to his work being selected for the "Festival des Arts de la Mode" in Hyéres, France
in 2000. His portrait, fashion and documentary photography has earned Frantini acclaim both
as a contemporary artist and an editorial photographer. His editorial work has appeared in publications such as Another Magazine, Double, GQ style, Dazed and Confused, Italian Glamour, Dutch, i-D, Intersection, Arena Homme, Beaux Arts Magazine and Wallpaper*. His advertising clients include MTV, CP Company, Dries Van Noten, Levis and Maison Martin Margiela.
Jonathan Frantini currently lives and works in New York City.
